After the opening of this college, many people got a chance to acquire knowledge and they did not have to be separated from their people to acquire knowledge. The college provides every facility to acquire knowledge. The college makes the children acquire knowledge in a pleasant environment. Jan Sahakari College emphasizes on intellectual development, cultural development, and career advancement of students along with high quality education. The aim of establishing Jan Sahakari College was to provide accessible and quality education in semi-urban areas. The college was established at a time when higher education was a distant dream for many, especially those who were financially weak. Jan Sahakari College was opened with the support of local teachers, social workers, farmers and community leaders. In its initial years, the college operated with limited infrastructure and
resources. The classrooms were meager and the buildings were ordinary and there was also a shortage of teachers, which made it a difficult task in the initial phase, but the college continued to function due to its strong commitment to its mission and today it has emerged as a renowned institution. In the years that followed, the college grew in both size and stature along with its knowledge. The college received affiliation from Veer Kunwar Singh University, one of the leading universities in Bihar, enabling it to expand its academic programs and award accredited degrees. From the 1990s to the early 2000s, the college witnessed major developments in infrastructure. A new academic building was built, the number of classrooms was increased and modernized. The college also had a library and computer labs to help students gain knowledge on a holistic level. Jan Sahakari College has always prioritized inclusiveness and empowerment. The college focused on enrolling first-generation learners and students from underprivileged communities so that everyone can receive the offerings of education and live in unity in society.
